Who will run the webinars?

We run regular webinars for Dementia Friends Champions to help support you as you go out in to your communities and create Dementia Friends. We’ve got a whole range of webinars coming up in the next couple of months. Have a look below and then email us to tell us which webinars you want to attend!Below are the DFO’s (Dementia Friends Officer) who will be delivering the webinars.

If it has been a while since you delivered an information session, you are still yet to get started or just need a confidence boost – this webinar will help you. We walk you through the standard Dementia Friends Information Session. We will talk through each of the activities, remind you where you can get your resources and materials from and explain how you can remain up to date with the Session content. If you are looking to inspire a younger generation, there are activities for children aged 6 years and upwards to help them better understand dementia and commit to an action. This webinar will help you to prepare for delivering an Information Session to children and young people. We will talk through the different resource packs for different age groups that we have available, explain how the activities work and give you some of our top tips!

We will talk through each of the activities, remind you where you can get your resources and materials from and explain how you can remain up to date with the Session content.  Dementia Friends wants to reach everyone, and in our Black Asian and Minority Ethnic resources we consider how to make the session more culturally aware. In this webinar we will walk you through the resources to help you prepare to deliver an Information Session for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic community groups. We will discuss the activities and spend time thinking about other considerations, in particular language.
